Part 4 of Summer Flings – a fun, flirty and laugh out loud rom com series of short stories.

Who needs fun when you can chill out in a stunning villa in Santorini all week and be pampered in every way possible? Ciara does.

After an unfortunate wardrobe faux par, challenging her friends to jet ski racing, and hooking up with an unexpected visitor, Ciara’s all about sex on the beach… the yacht… in the sea – wherever and whenever really! And she’s not alone. It’s the perfect fling in theory, but what happens when their Greek adventure comes to an end?

The ideal summer treat for those relaxing days soaking up the sun!

The Summer Flings series quickly became some of my most anticipated reads over the summer. I do love this series and being the first books I’d read by Aimee Duffy, I now know I’ll be reading anything she’s had published and will publish in the future. I adore her style of writing. Geeks Go Greek is another great instalment in this series and definitely hits the fun and flirty part of the synopsis even more than the previous novellas did.

Geeks Go Greek was by far, the steamiest novella of the four. This is where I feel like a bit of an old prude because although I love it when the heat levels notch up, and Aimee writes a sex scene just as well as she writes anything else, I did miss all the plot and character development there’s been in the last few novellas. Ciara and her summer fling were hooking up everywhere and I can’t fault it for entertainment, but once I finished the novella it left me feeling like something was missing.

What was definitely not missing, and what had me swooning for the entire novella, was Zack. Whether he was being spoke about or actually there, he was involved much more in Geeks Go Greek than he was previously. Through the earlier books in the series, we’ve learn quite a lot about Ciara, Elle and Gem so I think it was perfect timing for some more of Zack. Aimee’s done a great job at building up his character, knowing that there’s much more ready for us to learn in a timely fashion which Aimee’s writing controls so well.

Although Geeks Go Greek didn’t strike me as much as the first three parts did, I think it took the plot in a necessary direction to really set up the final three novellas – I guess I do actually have to man up and admit this series will come to an end at some point! I’m confident I’m going to love Summer Flings #5, Ibiza Insanity and a lot more than I would have done if Geeks Go Greek had gone down a different direction. The fourth novella in the series definitely pulls off some holiday fun in style.
