A year ago I met the love of my life. For two people who didn’t believe in love at first sight, we came pretty close.

Lilah MacDonald – beautiful, opinionated, stubborn and all kinds of wonderful in ways that words could never quite capture. The woman who taught me to live again.

My Lilah, who gave me so much, and yet kept from me a secret that she knew would break my heart.

My name is Callum Roberts, and this is our story.

Me Without You is the beautiful, moving story of Callum and Lilah and they turned me into a complete emotional wreck. I loved the banter and the chemistry between them both right from the first, brilliant chapter and then as the book went on, it warmed and broke my heart all at the same time.

This book was told in alternating chapters from Callum’s perspective to Lilah’s diary entries. They were both wonderful characters and I loved the insight we got into them both. Lilah was strong-willed and independent, with a great, opinionated personality whereas Callum was just charming. This book was supposed to be more than just material for me to swoon over (and it really was), but seriously, I loved everything about Callum…

Kelly’s writing was so stunning and believable it made it impossible for me not to be touched by this story. Though I can’t say you won’t need tissues, Lilah’s quirky nature and her chemistry with Callum brought this book a lot of humour and sweet moments. I liked how Lilah was always feisty, regardless of circumstance yet you could still see how her and Callum’s feelings were taking over.

This novel had the best pacing and development. It felt real and plausible and that’s possibly the reason why the rollercoaster of emotions worked so well – I found myself laughing one second and crying the next. It’s a truly inspiring novel with so many lessons to be learnt from (not just to never forget tissues on the coach, which I did…) but also to grab each moment and take advantage of all the fab opportunities life brings us. It’s an incredible novel.
