When Fin ran out on Marisol, leaving her naked on her couch, she swore she was done with him. There was no way she would forgive him, let alone see him again. But fate, or something else, had different ideas, and she ran into him again the very next day.
Instead of hating his guts and wanting him to die, Marisol finds that’s she’s still attracted to Fin. She just can’t get him out of her system. Maybe if they had one night together? Just one night and she could get over him. But will that be enough?
Review:
I’ve been counting down the days til the release day of Deep Surrendering (Episode 2) ever since the first instalment in this series of novellas. We were left with so much to learn in Episode 1 and Episode 2 is as much of a tease! The writing had me captivated as we were allowed to get a little bit more into the minds of Fin and Marisol.
The intrigue and suspense was excellent. I was always on edge waiting for the next twist. It’s hard to say too much without giving anything away but I thought Episode 2 did even better than the first episode at leaving things open for us to discover later on in the series.
I did want to see more of Marisol’s friend Chloe in this episode as she was quite involved in the first episode but I understood that this instalment had to focus on Fin and Marisol after the way the first book had been left. The development of the main characters was great. They’re complex characters but the author is impressive with how well she slowly tells us more about them.
The secrets just kept me whizzing through this book. They were weaved into the plot perfectly by Chelsea M. Cameron and the mystery is great. As each little thing about Fin is revealed, I was more and more fascinated with the plot and then when Deep Surrendering (Episode 2) ended, Chelsea had done it again because once more, I’m wishing a month away so I can get to the next episode!
