Review:

I wasn’t sure what to expect from Chosen Heart – whether it was going to be a straightforward, typical affair story or something much more complex and well developed. I was drawn into the story the moment I finished the prologue as it definitely made me want to find out more. As I got further into Chosen Heart, it just got better and better and I was so glad I picked it up.

Alexander and Elyssa were both intriguing characters. The sexual chemistry between them right from the start was great to read and the steamy scenes throughout made for some, um, entertaining reading! As much as I did find Alex and Elyssa interesting, at times they frustrated me so much I just couldn’t find them all that likeable. They were hit and miss with me and all the jealousy which was present right from the beginning just felt a little over-the-top.

What I did love about Chosen Heart was the actual story. This wasn’t simple and predictable; the twists were so unexpected for me (and surely everyone else) which always makes for a refreshing book. I was often left guessing at what was coming next which I really enjoyed. The authors I felt did really well at building up the plot and the characters and the main twist in this book brought this book some originality.

Chosen Heart was a really entertaining start to the series. Whereas sometimes I liked the characters and sometimes I wanted to bang their heads together, the story I always liked. I was just so pleased it wasn’t the expected. For anyone looking for a hot and dramatic romance, Chosen Heart is a great choice.
